the view from my window on the 15th floor of the north tower. the residence halls are big, two buildings each with 20 floors, each floor has 20 rooms on it with 2 people in each so that makes .... 800 people... which is a lot to live with. my floor is only girls, whereas some are mixed.. we have a common kitchen with lots of seating and a flat screen TV. so i have picked up some Hong Kong drama tv shows, that seem to be mainly about the housing shortage crisis!
and this is the view of the halls from downstairs, across the street. also known as, the place we have to go to smoke a cigarette.. you can't smoke on the campus, not even outdoors, but if you step across the invisible boundary line and cross the sidewalk, you can. we have a big hill right across the street, and it's uninhabited by anyone but a pack of wild dogs. seriously.. we have started talking to them during the night.. you just have to make a random barky noise and they start going crazy and barking at eachother for hours. but they don't want to play with humans, they never come near us. i actually miss playing with dogs. in Bologna there are lots of them.
