chinese painting is cool. you have to set up your space properly, with a felt blanket on the tabletop, your ink in a proper porcelain bowl, clean water, rice paper, etc. it's really ZEN and i love it.
these are some of my drawings. in the course we learn how to paint traditional chinese compositions with orchids, bamboo stalks, goldfish etc, but in my free time i have fun doing my own illustrations. chinese ink + rice paper = amazing. the paper absorbs the ink immediately and you can create different washes of grey using water... i love it A LOT.
